PRESS RELEASE
FIRST LONDON SHOW BY DEVIZES-BORN BLEW PIRANHA ARTIST
Devizes-born artist Luke Bevan is holding his first
London show with co-artist Will Crawshaw, who together
formed Blew Piranha, a multi-disciplinary arts company,
to promote their combined creative talents.
The show which takes place at The Foundry public house
in London's up and coming arts district of EC2, runs
from Tuesday 27 May until Saturday 7 June with a 'Non
Private View' on the evening of Saturday 31 May,
The Foundry is a popular venue for artists and musicians,
and generously offers the facility for artists to display
work that has not been previously shown to the public.
`Luke and Will met on the same art, design and media
course at Portsmouth University where they created their
first collaborative painting. They have been working
together on projects for the past six years, exchanging
ideas and images and working within the same theoretical
fields, each from their own individual aesthetic starting
point.
Blew Piranha has no pre-conceived, unified
aesthetic ideals and plans to spread fine art through
non-traditional as well as traditional media and environments,
creating objects and concepts for both commercial and
artistic settings," says Luke Bevan. "As well
as being able to offer a variety of original works,
Blew Piranha is willing to undertake specific commissions
for clients.
